“Thank you for your interest in submitting your film for awards consideration in the

2027 Hang On to the Dream Short Film Awards.

As the owner of a theatre here in Hollywood, I've had the opportunity to see, firsthand,
some incredible films created by independent filmmakers.
Awesome movies don't necessarily come from major studios.
They come from independent filmmakers like you!”

- Christopher Ewing, President/Founder, Hang On to the Dream Foundation

The Hang On to the Dream Short Film Awards celebrates independent filmmakers from around the world who have the passion to tell stories, the courage to pursue their creative dreams,

and the determination to bring their ideas to life on the screen.

Created by Emmy Award winning Executive Producer and TV Host Christopher Ewing, the awards recognize the creativity, talent, and accomplishments of filmmakers who are building their dreams -
one film at a time.

Hosted at the Hang On to the Dream Theatre in Hollywood, California,
the awards bring filmmakers together for a celebration of independent filmmaking, recognition, networking,

and opportunities to connect with others who share their passion for storytelling.

Because, again, awesome movies don't necessarily come from major studios.

They come from filmmakers like you!

"No matter how hard things seem, Hang On to the Dream!"
